Frequently Asked Questions

What can LEAD do for me or my family member?#faq-content-1472194655045

We provide capacity building supports to gain and build the skills needed to lead a fulfilling life. Within this area we can provide a range of supports specific to each individual. If you tell us the circumstances of your story, we will tell you what we can offer for you.

How do I become a client at LEAD?#faq-content-1472194660905

There are different pathways and a few things you need to do before you can become a client. Due to things such as NDIS funding, and because everyone's story is unique, the best thing to do is give us a call or make contact so we can guide you.

Do you have a waiting list?#faq-content-1483397171606

No, we don't. But to be eligible to be a client with LEAD you need to have access to specific government funding such as the NDIS or Centrelink. If you're not sure how you can get funding, give us a call to discuss your story.

What do your employment services cost for employers?#faq-content-1483397194297

Our service won't cost an employer anything beyond the normal cost of hiring a new person.

What types of contracting work do you offer?#faq-content-1483397199517

We have a range of established contracts that continue all year round, but there are also lots of unique, short-term contacts too. The best thing to do is give us a call to ask what is currently available.

What type of open employment opportunities do you offer?#faq-content-1483397204287

Our open employment stream depends entirely on what is available at a given time. We match a job to the right person's skills and ideas. Please call us to see what is available now.

Are all your staff specifically trained to help people with disabilities?#faq-content-1483397209338

We employ staff from a variety of backgrounds. That means many of them have specific training in disability and others have recognised skills from other areas. We are an inclusive, culturally and linguistically diverse workplace and we value a range of skills sets. If you find you don't click with your case manager, just let us know and we can find a solution.
